Palliative & End of Life Care

Compassionate, dignified care during the most sensitive times — ensuring comfort, peace, and quality of life.

When a loved one is approaching the end of their life, the most important thing is that they are comfortable, dignified, and surrounded by the people and things they love. At Divine Health Services, our palliative and end-of-life care service enables people to spend their final days at home — in peace, with expert support, and with the highest standard of compassionate care.

Caring with Dignity and Respect

Our end-of-life carers are specially trained to provide sensitive, person-centred support during this most delicate time. They understand the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of both the individual and their family. Every action is carried out with the utmost respect — as one daughter shared, "They were so gentle with her and always let her know what they were going to do before they did it. They talked directly to her by name instead of to us — that was really important to my mum."

"This agency was fantastic for my mum's end of life care. They gave her the dignity and respect she needed. They were so gentle with her and always let her know what they were going to do before they did it. They talked directly to her by name instead of to us, that was really important to my mum."

Working with Specialist Teams

We work in close partnership with palliative care consultants, Macmillan nurses, hospice teams, district nurses, and GPs to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to care. Our carers follow detailed care plans and communicate regularly with the wider healthcare team, ensuring that any changes in condition are responded to promptly and appropriately.

Supporting the Whole Family

End-of-life care is not just about the individual — it affects the entire family. Our carers provide emotional support, practical guidance, and a compassionate presence that helps families navigate this difficult journey. As M C. told us, "I really appreciated the very good care my husband was given and valuable advice they gave me about his care in the last months of his life."

The Gift of Being at Home

Most people, when asked, say they would prefer to spend their final days at home. Our palliative care service makes this possible — providing the clinical expertise and compassionate support needed to ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life right to the very end. It is a privilege we take very seriously.
